This creature is a human sized spider. It's a competent fighter with low hit points. It's faster than you, agile, has low armor against bashing weapons and moderate armor against cutting ones (that includes bullets).
It has extremely high morale and it's quite aggressive. Being a spider, it's afraid of being hurt, nearby fires, and can be angered by nearby monsters of the same type dying. It can also be angered by when following the player, when the player looks hurt, being hurt, when the player gets within a few tiles.
It can see, is able to smell characters, can hear noises, its attacks can poison you, can produce chitin when butchered, can produce fat when butchered, can climb terrain and furniture, and nothing else.
Being made of insect flesh, it's vulnerable to nothing in particular.
When it dies, nothing unusual happens.
(View - Edit Notes )Notes
- The most dangerous spider so far, and very common. Try to avoid them while you're still inexperienced or weak.
- Seems to be a bit less aggressive and dangerous in 0.C (Cooper).
- Not easy to hit this strong spider with a nail baseball bat, she is quite good in dodging melee attacks and biting you to death. Avoid melee with this monster if possible. 0.G (Gaiman)
- Could drive the wolf spider away by blowing my whistle and frightening her. Don't forget to bring a noise making tool like this on your wilderness wanderings. 0.G (Gaiman)
