This should be obvious, but Fish mostly just makes you really good at swimming. If you have a river or lake to live in, you won't get thirsty easily with Freshwater Osmosis, as water filled areas are become more common, this mutation is getting more useful.

The threshold mutation of this category is called Aquatic ingame.

Notes

  • Fish mutants may experience great difficulty surviving in winter, as they are not immune to cold, and water combined with cold weather can cause extreme temperature loss, they will also get very thirsty fast if not underwater, so it is probably best to get some water purified in a surface base where it is warmer and only try to get into the water for a brief hydration before you get frostbite.
