LMOE stands for Last Man On Earth. It's the kind of shelter most real-life survivalists dream of (and some of them own).
It has an underground area and forms an excellent shelter. It has its own water supply, in the form of a small water pond, and significant other supplies. If you get into a tight spot, it has a very defensible entrance and all doors are metal. There is a small food storage area with non-perishables as well as a handful of crates in the water area. There may also be wood-burning stoves in the water room as well as the bedroom. There is also a bathroom. You may also find equipment for survival inside, like tools. The entrance is easily distinguished from the surrounding forest, as there will be a small clearing around it, which is in turn surrounded by trees and shrubs. All in all, a wonderful place to set up for someone who wants to hide out in the forest or use this as a base for raiding nearby towns.
Being underground, LMOE shelters will also provide excellent protection from adverse weather conditions during dangerous seasons such as summer and winter, and will also protect from portal storms as of the current experimental version. But be aware that it is mostly much colder in an unheated underground housing. So you have to change clothes if you leave it into an outdoors summer landscape.
Firearms can be found in LMOE shelters. In most of them as of 0.D (Danny), the rooms that contain the firearms are secret rooms disguised as a typical metal wall, so try and check every wall just in case you can get those sweet guns. Moreover, any guns tend to be high-caliber, including the powerful Desert Eagle .44 usable by survivors with less strength.
As of 0.E (Ellison), sometimes there can be also exercise machines in LMOE shelters. These machines can be used by survivors to build up their abilities; one can decide how strenuously to exercise on these machines. Most LMOE shelters have very limited space and rooms, mostly only two bedrooms. Theoretically you could enlarge the underground housing by digging.
In 0.F (Frank) or 0.G (2023) you may sometimes discover a nearby LMOE shelter on the map. Or else you can't because above the downstairs entrance there is a large wooden house deep hidden in a forest area. It can be shuttered, may be abandoned or full with survivor zombies or even worse inhabited by a fellow survivor who will shoot at you as an intruder. High social skill might help you in convincing the paranoid.
