The way you go down into the depths is by using the Hazardous Waste [[Sarcophagus access code]] on one of the working terminals inside the office area (Not where the elevator is).

The hazardous waste sarcophagus is exactly what it sounds like. While looting the area survivors should be careful of radiation; just because the toxic waste is surrounded by heavy concrete walls and all of the horrors created by it are either below or outside doesn't mean you can just free-ball your way through the surface level of the compound. Grab whatever you need, and get out ASAP.
