MREs are military rations that, while sealed, will never spoil. Once you unseal them, you'll find that they're full of food and beverage that tastes bad but fills you up fine. An MRE also contains candy, matches, and other incidentals. They can often be found on dead soldiers, or in military bunkers, mil. surplus stores, and FEMA camps.
