Fields
This page is not complete enough; please help if you can. |
Fields are temporary effects on a given tile, such as fire, smoke, etc.
Blood and bile
Blood is created by a bleeding wound or when someone is hit by a cutting or piercing weapon. Bile is the substance spitted by mobs like the Boomer.
This are just cosmetic fields. Its only particularity is that they dissipate faster in water.
Acid
Created by creatures such spitter zombies or weapons such as acid bombs.
Acid can melt (and eventually destroy or kill) any item or creature made of liquid, vegetable, flesh, powder, cotton, wool paper, plastic or glass.
It dissipates faster in water.
Fire
Fire is usually initiated by the player, either on purpose or by accident.
A fire will need flammable materials in order to not dissipate. It also damages (and eventually destroys and kills) any item or creature placed in the same tile.
Wood and vegetable materials will make the fire last longer.
Cotton and wool will also increase its life, but a bit less.
Flesh materials (such as chunk of meat, etc) will create more smoke.
Tequila, whiskey, vodka or rum will increase its life a lot and will also create lots of smoke.
Powder will also be inmediately destroyed.
Plastic will create some smoke.
Destroyed items will disappear from the world.
A fire can be contained by a brazier and other items and structures (such as wood stoves).
After a while consuming flammable materials the fire will increase its density. In this condition, unless the fire is in a pit it will try to spread to random adjacent tiles up to two tiles away. If the fire fails to spread it'll create more smoke.
Ammunition will cook-off (explode) when in fire.
