Gas vent

A vent that produces toxic gas, normally found in underground mines. In the presence of such a vent, or its output, it is wise to wear a gas mask ( for full protection from its effects.
Not only is the gas a health hazard, but it also obscures terrain icons with the gas symbol. With this in mind, finding a downslope near a gas vent is a laborious task. However, using the look/examine feature will display what kind of terrain is currently being viewed, regardless of gas obstruction.
Not all mines actually contain gas vents: it is possible to find one that turns out to not have a single vent on any floor.
