Shakes are one of attack-effects of Schizophrenic trait (duration is 2-5 tens of turns) and a heavy scourge of Jittery trait owners. With Jittery there is a chance to gain shakes for more than 300 turns when overstimulated (stim > 50, 0.4% chance and raising) and for 400 turns when close to "Very hungry" status (hunger > 80, "480.23% and raising). It is good that Jittery attacks do not stack.
Shakes also can be gained rarely during telesickness.
Shakes decrease character's dexterity by 4 and strength by 1.
