Maple syrup can be a delicious supplement made from concentrated maple sap. It can then either be used as a pancake topping, or further boiled into sugar at about a 1:1 ratio of maple sap to sugar.
Maple sap can be tapped from Maple Trees through examining (e) a maple tree. To tap a tree, you'll need a tool with drilling, a tree spile, and a container to store maple sap. A 60L tank is the cheapest container which can store the entire output of a season. It will only produce during late winter (around day 68.25) and early spring (day 45.5). You can tap trees before the season starts, but no sap will be produced until the right time. In total, each tree will produce 42L of maple sap, which is enough to make 1.05L of maple syrup.
