Reach attack

Some weapons, like the Bullwhip, or the Glaive, can perform a reach attack by wielding the weapon and firing it. This allows you to perform perform a standard attack, with the same stats as a normal attack, from up to two tiles away. Special attacks (such as those gained from martial arts styles or the weapon itself) will not be used.
Some, but not all, of these weapons also have a 30% damage-penalty (i.e. only deal 70% damage) if attacking adjacent targets.
Some example weapons that have reach attacks are:
- Peasant flail
- Steel spear
- Homemade halfpike
- Spike on a stick
- Simple knife spear
- Makeshift glaive
- Pipe spear
- Knife spear
- Makeshift war scythe
- Forked spear
- Copper spear
Certain weapons can make "long reach attacks", allowing them to attack up to 3 tiles away. These weapons are usually less common and are very slow, making up for this with range.
