Tone

Some of the things written here are written from an 'I' perspective, which is always better to put on the talk page. Might be best to rewrite it in a more neutral tone. (The wiki being a collaborative effort, and 'I' stuff is usually an opinion etc). --Soyweiser (talk) 06:59, 1 September 2020 (MDT)

Fair enough. The problem I'm struggling with is there are things I can "prove" by pointing to the code, things I'm "confident" in because I can make an argument for them, but there's also things that are conjecture, based on the limitations of my understanding of the code. What's the stylistically proper way to mark things I suspect are correct but can't assert?
Also re: electric engines, a younger me would probably angrily sort through the last five years of power and engine code to "prove" I'm right. Older me ain't got time for that shit, so I'll find a better way to make the point that "Electric cars are probably not what you want for this purpose" and leave my grumpy editorializing about code changes out of it.  :) --BrotherWoot
Re style of things you are uncertain about. I have no clear idea, there are several options, first the boring shitty option, which is not to mention it, but that is boring. Second is perhaps just mention stuff like 'it seems like', and 'it might be that electric engines don't provide enough power to reliably power a super heavy car'. And then there is the third option, ask for help from others, via reddit/forum/the discords etc. --Soyweiser (talk) 02:28, 2 September 2020 (MDT)
