The suburban house, a staple of looting. Houses always have the following four room types. As of 0.A (Kaufman), there are more than one varieties of houses that can be generated under the house map tile.

House Varieties
- Original Four Room (detailed below)

Rooms
Living room
The area just behind the front door. Contains book cases and a desk. You'll usually find assorted clothing and other miscellaneous items, such as lighters and magazines.
Kitchen
It contains a fridge, sink, oven, cupboards, and maybe a table.

Bedroom
A big room with a bed and a dresser. You'll usually find miscellaneous clothing and other items in the dresser. Lying around you can find other useful items such as sewing kits, containers, sunglasses, etc. Occasionally there's two bedrooms.
Bathroom
There's always a functioning toilet here that you can use as a source of limited unclean water. You can also find all kind of meds here, including aspirin, vitamins, Cough syrup, Non-drowsy cough syrup, bandages, first aid, and occasionally rarer drugs.
Some houses in the apocalypse have been taken over by giant wasps. These houses are identifiable by their paper walls. Others may be infested with black widows. Both of these types of houses have a good chance of spawning rare items in addition to other loot.

Among the four basic rooms in whatever shape or form they may take, there are other rooms that can potentially be generated with a house:
