The Blob's Lieutenants

The Blob's Lieutenants is a shorthand manner of speaking - not currently fully used in game - to refer to high powered servants of the XE037.

Timeline

• April 15 2025: Just as government resources are strained to their absolute break point (globally, not just in the US), the portal storms begin. The blob exercises a shred of effort for the first time since it entered our dimension, and bends reality so that the access energy to create dimensional rifts is far easier. Gates to the netherum open spontaneously, allowing rampaging beasts of indescribable form to add their involvement to the already rampant chaos. Amidst the violence, the blob sends in a collection of its Lieutenants, alien zombies that have been evolving and growing for centuries or millennia. They begin organizing the burgeoning zombie hordes in tactically important locations.

Known Lieutenants

Currently, the only Lieutenant to appear in the game so far is a being known as “A shadow?” (not to be confused with the shadows summoned by wraiths). The shadow is a photophobic monster that only appears at night and is always heralded by a warning, similar to that of when a portal storm is approaching. It is best known for its ability to summon different types of amalgamation monsters, but doesn’t directly attack the player.
