 This is an animate shadow. Looking like nothing more than an errant patch of normal shadow, it draws your attention by the way it moves subtly and whispers softly in the back of your mind. Strange intrusive thoughts accompany the quiet murmur, awakening your most horrific memories and fears. 

This creature is a squirrel sized nether inhabitant. It's a competent fighter with moderate hit points. It's a bit slower than you, agile, has no armor against bashing weapons and no armor against cutting ones (that includes bullets). Its special ability allows it to disappear forever, every 200 turns.

It has extremely high morale and it's totally aggressive. Being a nether inhabitant, it's afraid of being hurt, and can be angered by nothing in particular.

It can see, can hear noises, is able to track noises particularly well, is able to smell characters, has no distinguishable head (it's unaffected by head shots), is very hard to shoot at (some hits are treated as misses), can grab you, is not affected by nor destroys cobwebs, can fly over water, traps, fire and acid, has a great resistance to bashing damage, dies in full sunlight, can shock you if you hit it with your bare fists, is immune to acid, will flee for several turns after a melee attack, doesn't breathe (it's not affected by smoke, toxic gases, drowning, etc), does not leave any remains (body pieces) when blown apart, and nothing else.

Being made of flesh, it's vulnerable to nothing in particular.

Will shock the attacker when hit, 100% of the time.
When it dies, it melts away.
