This creature is a tank sized aberration. It's a very competent fighter with insanely high hit points. It's faster than you, agile, has high armor against bashing weapons and moderate armor against cutting ones (that includes bullets). Its special ability allows it to either roar (which can attract other creatures) or attack you with its massive claw (which might down you), every 5 turns.
It has extremely high morale and it's totally aggressive. Being a aberration, it's afraid of nothing in particular, and can be angered by nothing in particular.
It can see, can hear noises, is able to smell characters, stumbles around, is warm blooded (it appears in infrared), can bash destroyable objects in its way (like doors), destroys anything in its way (like walls), attacks any creature in its way, can produce leather when butchered, can produce bones and sinews when butchered, is poisonous to eat (produces tainted meat when butchered), can produce bones and sinews when butchered, can produce fat when butchered, and nothing else.
Being made of flesh, it's vulnerable to nothing in particular.
When it dies, nothing in particular happens.
(View - Edit Notes )Notes
"The eater of the dead... something was ripping zombies to shreds and only leaving a few scattered limbs..."
While the wilderness is safer than the city, this is the deadliest monster that can be encountered in the forest; never assume you are completely safe in the countryside, given this fast and deadly beast.
Jabberwocks have a special attack. If they are adjacent to the player, they will attack with their claws, doing 5 to 10 damage to a random body part and inflicting the downed condition with a one in six chance. This attack can be dodged. Otherwise, they will roar (a sound with a volume of 80).
A jabberwock may be the subject of an NPC mission in which an NPC will send you to kill a jabberwock that killed his buddy.
To give you a good idea of how powerful the monster is, it's the same size as a hulk, but faster, can avoid attacks more often, but most of all, its ability to knock you down can be a death sentence if you're unprepared. Don't be afraid to use a molotov or two to get rid of it, and definitely consider abusing drugs if you MUST fight it in a melee (in which case, lure it to a bush, get your best weapon, and hope for the best.) Always know that as fast as the monster is, it can't do anything until you use turns, so check through your inventory if you're unsure how to handle it.
