This creature is a cow sized ZOMBIE, HUMAN. It's a competent fighter with low hit points. It's very slow, clumsy, has no armor against bashing weapons and no armor against cutting ones (that includes bullets). Its special ability allows it to spit bile, every 20 turns; perform a special scratch attack, every 20 turns.
It has extremely high morale and it's totally aggressive. Being a ZOMBIE, HUMAN, it's afraid of ZOMBIE, HUMAN, and can be angered by ZOMBIE, HUMAN.
It can see, can hear noises, is able to smell characters, stumbles around, is warm blooded (it appears in infrared), can bash destroyable objects in its way (like doors), gets help from surrounding monsters when bashing objects, is poisonous to eat (produces tainted meat when butchered), doesn't breathe (it's not affected by smoke, toxic gases, drowning, etc), resuscitates after a few hours (unless its corpse is either smashed to a pulp or butchered), has bile laced blood, can produce bones and sinews when butchered, can produce fat when butchered, can push creatures out of its way, walks around some dangerous terrain and traps, and nothing else.
Being made of flesh, it's vulnerable to nothing in particular.
When it dies, it explodes.
(View - Edit Notes )Notes
Slow and fragile, the Boomer is little more than a mere nuisance...at range. Do not let them get close.
If you are a melee fighter or do let it get close, kill it quickly to avoid the boomer's vomit attack (though the explosion may still get you), or wear solid eye protection such as ski goggles or a gas mask. Be careful when fighting them when other zombies, especially when the faster ones like zombie dogs or feral hunters are also present: its bile will reduce your vision range to one, allowing other zombies to surround and gang up on you without your knowledge. When "Boomered", fight defensively until the effect is over.
