 A thin corpse, its chest is swollen in what appears to be preparation. A thick black ooze drips from its open mouth. 

This creature is a human sized ZOMBIE, HUMAN. It's a competent fighter with high hit points. It's as fast as you, quite clumsy, has no armor against bashing weapons and no armor against cutting ones (that includes bullets). Its special ability allows it to shriek, creating a noise that can attract other creatures, every 20 turns; very loudly shriek, creating a big noise that can attract other creatures, can do some small bash damage, and can cause a stun effect, every 1 turns; perform a special scratch attack, every 20 turns.

It has extremely high morale and it's totally aggressive. Being a ZOMBIE, HUMAN, it's afraid of ZOMBIE, HUMAN, and can be angered by ZOMBIE, HUMAN.

It can see, is able to track scents particularly well, stumbles around, is warm blooded (it appears in infrared), can bash destroyable objects in its way (like doors), gets help from surrounding monsters when bashing objects, is poisonous to eat (produces tainted meat when butchered), doesn't breathe (it's not affected by smoke, toxic gases, drowning, etc), resuscitates after a few hours (unless its corpse is either smashed to a pulp or butchered), can produce bones and sinews when butchered, and nothing else.

Being made of flesh, it's vulnerable to nothing in particular.

When it dies, nothing unusual happens. If it is burned to death it can transform into a scorched zombie.

  • An evolved form of the shrieker zombie, this zombie's shriek has become powerful enough to daze the player, causing a hit on perception, speed and dexterity, try not to get near this zombie, or wear ear protection, and also be aware of the zombies attracted by it's awful screaming.
