- Usually found inside science labs. Successfully dissecting a zombie scientist can yield bionics, so experienced players generally regard zombie scientists as a valuable target.
- As of 0.D (Danny) it can only spawn 3 manhacks.
- As of 0.E (Ellison), zombie scientists no longer have special attacks, but do path intelligently and open doors.
- As of the latest experimental, it can no longer open doors. Ability to open doors remain in the Zombie necromancer, Zombie master and all of the Mi-Go faction
