A large chunk of wax, filled with dense, dark honey. Useful for curing all sorts of afflictions.

Notes

This substance is baby bee food created in the head of a nurse bee.

All larva bees are fed royal jelly for three days and the diet then changes according to what the workers decide the bee should be. (Royal jelly for queens, a 1-1 mix of pollen and honey for workers, and a 3 pollen 1 honey mix for drones.)

Help! I have some weird disease!

Royal jelly is a cure-all for most any disease, even alien ones.

It is found sparsely inside science labs, dead scientists squads, and in the central cell of bee hives. Royal jelly can also be crafted with modest cooking skill.

Because this item is so rare, DO NOT use it if you have the other means to cure the disease:

  • Got a bite wound? This item does not cure that in the early stage, disinfectant is common enough to treat bite wounds before infection sets in.
  • Infection is a bit more trickier, but if you have a first aid kit (only applies to 0.C Cooper), antibiotics, or have good enough health, you may still have a chance, only use it for this as a last resort if you are close to death, your antibiotics have not worked, or you have no other treatments on hand...
  • Got a fungal parasite? Antifungal drugs are rare, but if you have those, use them instead, otherwise, have royal jelly at the ready, the fungal infection is debilitating and won't go away by itself.
  • Got a food parasite? antiparasitic drugs are rare too, but this is less severe and deadly than the fungal parasite, use it if it becomes too much of an annoyance though.
  • Got tetanus? Maybe use antibiotics before you consider using this, diazepam is only a suppressant for tetanus, so use this if you are out of antibiotics, each pill has a 33% chance of curing it.
