Notes
- Photosynthesis, one of the major perks of this line, relies on having some combination of the Leaves and Phelloderm mutations, exposure to sunlight, and temperature. Any of the vines mutations will also help. As long as you're outdoors, any exposed skin or leaves that can photosynthesize will passively give you calories. If you have Chloromorph and are asleep in some soil (you'll get a message about putting down roots), you will gain additional calories. This means the best way to maximize your photosynthesis is by sleeping outdoors during the day, fully nude.
- No matter how much sunlight you eat, your animal parts will still need some food. Saprophage means you can only really eat rotten stuff, and this can be hard to manage. Ideally you'll use your photosynthesis to support yourself in spring and summer, during which time you'll set up a food stockpile. Leave food out, let it become rotten, then freeze it. Come winter, your leaves will fall off and you won't be able to photosynthesize as much, so you'll heavily rely on what you have stored. Remember that it's difficult to find rotten food in wintertime because the low ambient temperatures will mostly prevent foods from going bad!
- Despite winter making you very slow and cutting off your food supplies, you're pretty much immune to taking damage from the cold. You don't really need to worry about gear as a Plant. As long as you have rotten things to eat, you'll have a pretty laid-back time.
