Evil is an effect that is inflicted by one of the passive artifact effects. When wielding or wearing an Evil artifact there is 0.(6)% chance per turn to gain this status effect for 300 turns.
All stats are decreased when a character with this status doesn't have an evil item somewhere in his or her inventory. While the duration is not long, the artifact gives slight bonuses to dexterity, intelligence and perception while wielding it (if it is tool) or wearing it (if clothing). Eventually these bonuses will change to penalties, except for strength, which will increase.
