Toxin Buildup

Toxin Buildup is a status effect represented by a numerical quantity that starts at 0, the absence of buildup. It increases when excess amounts of certain foods with toxins in them are consumed, such as any food made of mutant flesh or medicinal toxins.
It goes from Your muscles keep twitching strangely. to Your nervous system is malfunctioning, almost like it's being torn apart from the inside. indicated in the log history.
It has 3 stages :
- The first stage which begins at 500 units of Toxin has no description
- The second stage, which begins at 950 units is "Concerning symptoms" which will manifest as occasional headaches.
- The thirds stage, which begins at 1400 units is "Unnerving symptoms" which will manifest as occasional headaches and sudden arm and leg spasms resulting in dropping your wielded item, or momentary loss of balance respectively.
Each stage of the disease reduces your health stat, slowing healing. At stage one, this is a inconsequencial effect offset by healthy living, but stage three can quickly tank health to reduce healing to a glacial pace, and combined with the spasms, which will knock down or disarm the player, leading to a slow and painful demise.
The buildup will naturally decrease over time without any medication at the same rate as vitamins such as iron or calcium. As such, it is safe to consume an approximate 800 calories per day of mutant flesh made products if the organism isn't exposed to other sources of toxicity.
