Narcosis is a status effect inflicted by using anesthesia.
Inflicted by
- Anesthesia.
- In most cases this is the result of use of an anesthetic, commonly in form of anesthetic kits.
- Anesthesia is usually required by the autodoc, when installing or uninstalling bionics.
- Nursebot or an NPC surgeon can have their own anesthetic supply to inflict anesthesia effect upon your character.
Effects
- Narcosis is a chemically induced sedation, so as a status effect it is imposed over and linked with sleeping status.
- You will not wake up naturally (due to recovery from fatigue) from your sleep under narcosis.
- Reasons for which you would wake up normally (light, temperature, damage & pain, etc.) have no effect when you are under narcosis. You can be eaten by a zombie and not even notice.
- Narcosis will stop the increase of pain from any source.
- Many effects are subdued as a result of you being literally unconscious.
- You are effectively blind and deaf while being under the effect of narcosis.
