In pit is a status effect representing limited mobility due to being on the bottom of a deep pit.
"You're stuck in a pit. Sight distance is limited and you have to climb out."
- Moving out of the pit requires effort. You may fail the attempt. "You try to escape the pit, but slip back in."
- Your strength, and in a lesser extent your dexterity, makes escaping out of the pit easier.
