Datura is a status effect applied by consumption of datura seeds, containing a potent psychoactive substance Anticholinergic Tropane Alkaloids

• Datura effect is applied when you consume datura seeds. Their consumption for characters with Spiritual trait adds good morale - trip to nirvana, huh?.
• Datura effect from a single dose can last randomly between 3 and 13 hours.
• You can lethally overdose from eating 3 seeds if you're unlucky, but due to randomness of added duration it's more probable after around 5+ consecutive doses.
• Datura effect stops asthma attacks. It can be used as a last resort medicine if you don't have an inhaler on you.
• Datura effect applies penalties to stats:
  • -6 perception
  • -3 dexterity
• Datura effect has a chance to increase your thirst. up to 20 max, one in 8 chance per tick
• Depending on it's concentration in body, it can trigger following effects (listed from least to most severe, each can trigger independently):
  • moderate chance of focus reduction when duration > 100 minutes
  • increase in stimulation when stim < 20, when duration > 200 minutes
  • high chance of focus reduction when duration > 300 minutes, cumulative with first effect
  • moderate pain reduction when duration > 400 minutes
  • long lasting hallucinations when duration > 500 minutes
  • strong pain reduction when duration > 600 minutes
    • with extra chance of nausea and being downed when duration > 800 minutes "You're experiencing loss of basic motor skills and blurred vision. Your mind recoils in horror, unable to communicate with your spinal column." "You stagger and fall!"
  • definite focus reduction when duration > 700 minutes
  • severe hallucinations, potent pain reduction when duration > 800 minutes
  • severe hallucinations, moderate chance of inflicting pain & nausea when duration > 1200 minutes
  • severe hallucinations, high chance of inflicting pain & nausea, overdose warning "The possibility of physical and mental collapse is now very real." when duration > 1400 minutes
  • chance of death from overdose by heart attack "Your heart spasms painfully and stops, dragging you back to reality as you die." when duration > 1800 minutes
• Datura effect makes you light sensitive. Direct sunlight causes irritation, pain and loss of focus. It will also wake you up from your sleep.
