This is a somewhat heavy clothing item made of cotton and leather, which covers 50% of your feet, and which has no storage capacity. It doesn't occupy too much space, doesn't encumber you at all, and will provide some warmth to the areas it covers.
It offers very low protection against bashing attacks and very low protection against cutting ones (that includes bullets), while offering no protection from environmental hazards.
It can be made to fit the character's body via tailoring or mechanics.
